Pillow Form, Sewing Machine, Fabric

Measure the pillow form, then add an additional 1 inches to the length and the width.

Mark fabric then cut.

Sew all sides of the pillow, but leave half the 4th side open for inserting form or batting.  Then hand sew this area shut.

1.  Measure length and width of pillow form from seam to seam with measuring tape and add 1 inch.  Cut fabric to these lengths. In this case the pillow form is 16 inches x 16 inches, the fabric is cut into two squares 17 inches wide (mark lengths with fabric pencil and meter stick for straight lines).

2.  Turn fabric pieces inside out and sew pieces together ½ inch from each edge on 3 sides.  On the 4th side leave an opening large enough to fit your pillow form or batting (this area will be hand sewn after inserting batting or pillow form).

3.  Turn fabric right side out and stuff pillow form or batting (which ever you are using) inside

4.  Hand sew the opening.

*  Make pillows with fabrics of different designs and textures to add more interest to your space (advanced-add a zipper to your pillow for ease of cleaning)
