1.  Choose a plastic bowl that is the size you would like your finished product to be.  Make sure the bowl you use is PLASTIC; this will keep the cement from sticking to it once dry.

2.  Cut a piece of plastic “plumbing” pipe to about 2 inches long.  This will be used to create a drainage hole in the bottom of the pot

3.  Mix the cement with water in a medium size bowl.  Don’t add too much water.  You want the mix to be thick enough to stick up against the sides of the bowl.  Let the mix sit while you prepare the plastic bowl.

4.  Place the 2 inch plastic pipe standing up in the center of the bowl.

5.  If you will be using 1 inch tile as a decorative touch, place the tile in the bowl with the top surface of the tile facing down.

6.  Use a spoon or your hands to start applying the cement to the bottom and sides of the bowl.  Continue to apply the cement until you have built the bottom and sides up to about a half inch thick.

7.  Use the back of the spoon to smooth out the inside of the bowl.

8.  Allow the cement to dry for about an hour or until the cement starts to slightly harden.  Use your fingers to push the top rim of the cement flat and smooth.

9.  Allow to dry for at least 24 hours.

10.  Insert your plant and add green moss around the top edges of the bowl.
